Role Overview
We are looking for a qualified Sales intern to conduct research and generate leads to hand off to the sales team.
The ideal intern will be energetic, creative, and willing to step out of their comfort zone to dive into understanding the technology we develop, sell, and support across a variety of industries. You will gain hands-on experience working within our a growing company and develop a basic understanding of how to effectively prospect and conduct ideal customer profile (ICP) research.
The internship position is available in-person in our Rochester, NY office.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Research and generate lists of leads within our Ideal Customer Profile
- Conduct outbound sales prospecting activity through cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn messaging
- Work in tandem with sales directors to assist with territory development
- Supplement marketing campaigns with prospecting activity to a target list of accounts
- Schedule meetings for sales directors with qualified leads; attend for learning purposes
- Work with sales and marketing to host and fill local event
Requirements
- Business, Sales, or Marketing major, Junior grade-level and above
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay organized while balancing multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications
- Prospecting experience through cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn messaging a plus

Logistics
- Available for at least 4-hour increments for 15-20 hours per week within the regular 8:30-5 business day; negotiable based on schedule
- Pay negotiable; starting at NY state minimum wage of $15.50 / hour. Applicant encouraged to research additional grant funding through the school (Ex. SPARK Grant at Nazareth University)
- Can be used for college credit
