This is not a research role. This is not an isolated innovation lab position.
We’re looking for a pragmatic AI leader who can drive real business impact across departments while shaping how agentic and recursive AI capabilities are embedded into our products.

The Opportunity
As Director of AI Strategy & Agentic Automation, you will:
- Lead AI initiatives across the entire organization — not just engineering
- Build and deploy internal AI agents that automate and streamline functions such as:
- BDR and sales support automation
- Marketing content generation and optimization
- Operations and client support workflows
- Define how agentic and recursive AI should be incorporated into Wilmac’s core products
- Contribute to the development of governance, evaluation, and risk frameworks for AI usage
- Serve as a key advisor on AI tradeoffs, tooling decisions, and implementation strategy
This role combines product vision, technical literacy, business acumen, and leadership.
What You’ll Own
1. Internal AI Enablement
- Stand up an AI intake and prioritization framework
- Identify high-impact automation opportunities across departments
- Build and launch production-ready internal AI agents
- Measure adoption, performance, and ROI
2. Product AI Strategy
- Develop a roadmap for incorporating agentic AI into our core platforms
- Define practical, customer-facing AI workflows (not AI for AI’s sake)
- Partner with Product and Engineering to bring these capabilities to market
- Implement feedback loops to improve models and workflows over time
3. AI Governance & Risk (Advisory)
- Collaborate with leadership to shape responsible AI standards and guardrails
- Provide input on vendor tools and build-vs-buy decisions
- Advise executive leadership on AI risks, tradeoffs, and best practices
- Support compliance, data security, and operational stability efforts alongside relevant teams
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
- 3–5 internal AI agents deployed with measurable productivity gains
- At least one AI-powered workflow embedded into our product suite
- Active contribution to a documented AI governance framework adopted company-wide
- A vetted pipeline of high-impact AI initiatives aligned to company strategy
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years in product, engineering leadership, AI strategy, or automation
- Experience deploying real-world AI/LLM systems (not just prototypes)
- Strong understanding of:
- Agentic workflows
- RAG architectures
- LLM evaluation & monitoring
- Human-in-the-loop systems
- Ability to explain complex AI risks and tradeoffs in business terms
- Strong cross-functional leadership and change management skills
- Bias toward execution and measurable impact
Nice to Have
- Experience in compliance-heavy or regulated industries
- Background in SaaS product strategy
- Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and workflow automation platforms
