A young professional is selected to receive the Greater Rochester Chamber IGNITE Award annually. This year, our very own Director of Marketing, Emily Miller, was named a finalist for this prestigious award.

The award is designed to honor young professionals between the ages of 21-40 years old who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, who excel in their chosen field, devote time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and forge paths of leadership for others to follow. The winner is selected by a committee of a diverse group of leaders from the Greater Rochester business community based on the following criteria:

      1. Professional leadership: The individual demonstrates excellence and leadership in their business or profession.
      2. Community service: The individual gives back to the larger community by their contribution and/or support.
      3. Personal & professional recognition: The individual has received awards and honors for their work and contribution to the greater Rochester business community.

Since Emily started at Wilmac in July 2021, she has had a significant impact on the growth and development of Wilmac’s marketing program. Emily creates, coordinates, and leads all marketing initiatives while also managing Wilmac’s business development team. She restarted the intern program this past Spring and has led four different company-wide giving initiatives. Her list of responsibilities and accomplishments continues as the youngest member of Wilmac’s leadership team.

Among other finalists from Rochester-based organizations like University of Rochester Medicine, L3Harris Technologies, Constellation Brands, Foundry, Villa of Hope, and others, we are proud of Emily for the hard work she does at Wilmac and congratulate her on being named a finalist for the Greater Rochester Chamber IGNITE Award.
